'Team' may be a generous definition (for now anyway), but my name's Ashley and I've been in the talent industry for circa 10 years.
7 of those years have been spent specifically supporting the FinTech industry.
I've worked with 2-person startups through to global financial enterprises, however my passion has always been working with those in the startup world.
There's a number of reasons why the early-stage world excites me, but it's largely down to the satisfaction I get from seeing the tangible impact I can make on a business, being able to see the value I bring make a material difference to the company's trajectory.
Why FinTech?
I grew up in one global financial hub (London) and made the move across the pond to another (New York). I've been fortunate enough to work with companies that make a real difference to the global economy, harnessing technology to innovate the way the world interacts with money, across the scale from enterprise solutions for financial institutions through to enhancing financial access for underbanked communities, it's a fascinating industry that has no signs of slowing down.
Why me?
I've set up TalentFraction because I want to continue making a meaningful difference to the way that early-stage FinTechs approach the Talent & People function.
The words that best describe my approach are:
Impactful
Value-Add
Efficiency
Sustainability
Some of the most meaningful impacts I've had on businesses:
Placed 3/5 of the CxOs for a Publicly Listed Company -> 3x Their Share Price in 18 Months
Placed CEO of Payments FinTech (shifting the Technical Founder to CTO) -> Company Acquired in 6 Months (12 months faster than they thought possible)
Helped a Company to Completely Restructure Their Talent Acquisition Strategy -> Reduced Overall Recruitment Costs, Reduced Time to Fill, Designed Performance Management Strategy + Improved Retention
